THE END, ALREADY??
The last meeting of the WYFL Board for the 2006 season will be
held Wednesday, October 11, 7 pm at Red Lion. If you have any suggestions
on ways to make future seasons better, please plan to attend. Also,
we have two board positions (Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer)
that need to be filled. Planning for next year begins in January.
If you are interested in helping our kids next fall, please show
your interest by offering to help out on our board.
BUCK-A-THON
Everyone to get your Buck-A-Thon money in to Tyree (304-1499) for
the best selection in prizes.
By now, everyone should have forms to collect Buck-A-Thon donations
and have been eligible to receive prizes. You have also seen where
some of the money goes...paying game officials, updating player
and field equipment, and maintaining the scoreboard/time keeper's
box. We thank everyone that has participated and remind you that
it's not too late to turn in your money and collect prizes. The
preliminary totals are as follows:
- Jr White, $2095*70% participation
- Jr Blue, $1104**55% participation
- Jr Gold, $625**14% participation
- Jr Orange, $275*9 % participation
- Sr White, $905**55% participation
- Sr Blue, $725**24% participation
- Sr Gold, $350**11% participation

- Cheerleaders, $100*3 % participation
Please note: We are out of the receiver gloves and are running
low on skull caps and beanies. So, get your donations in as soon
as possible. Contact Tyree if you need more information, 304-1499.
FIELD SET-UP
The Highland Park football field must be set up and taken down each
week for our home games. Parents and coaches of the first game of
the day (flag) need to set up the field. Following the last game
of the day, parents and coaches need to put all the equipment and
other items back in the storage area next to the picnic tables.
Your help with this is greatly appreciated.
REMINDER TO PARENTS...
To earn your "W" and "Bucks" car decals you
need to volunteer to help during our games. There are several ways
you can help - being on the "chain gang", running the
clock, keeping track of the kids' plays (monitor)...or just stepping
up when you see someone needs help. We can't have a successful season
without you.
